A First and Caught Off Guard

On Thanksgiving day, Kenadie experienced a first...

We took her to see her first movie, Tangled :) She did really good and had a great time! I guess my 3 biggest stand out points from the movie experience were (1) At a very quiet point in the movie, I guess she thought something was funny. She let out a cute giggle while it was completely quiet, therefore causing laughter to scatter amongst the theatre. If you were at the 4:15 showing, yes, that was my child who laughed at nothing being funny :) (2) If you take an energetic 3 year old to see a movie, maybe you shouldn't buy the drink/popcorn at the very beginning. She did get a wee bit antsy towards the end, so it might would have been nice to resort to the snacks halfway through. (3) She and I both thought the restroom was about the loudest place we have ever been in. She kept her hands over her ears the entire time we were in there, and repeatedly told me "It's too loud in here!" I just may have to use her own line on her sometime :) seeings how she apparently recognizes when it's too loud and she herself admitted it :)

After the movie, we decided we would get something to eat for dinner... yes, mind you, it IS Thanksgiving day... Shouldn't we still be full you ask??? Well, apparently not. So, the three of us all experienced another first, eating out on Thanksgiving day! And for the record, between The Grand and Huddle House, we only had four choices: Hardees, Backyard Burger, TGI Fridays and Huddle House. We went with Huddle House, another first for Kenadie and I :)

This next picture caught me a little off guard... I bet you'll never guess why!

As I was cutting out this box top, which I've been doing for years and passing along to friends with school age children, it occurred to me that I could actually be saving this one for my own "school age" child one day :( Kenadie will start kindergarten in 2013, and this one doesn't expire until 2014!!! Boo hoo :( DID NOT like seeing a box top that could apply to her :(

Well, you guessed it, I'm off to attempt going to bed for a second time. It's only 1:15 a.m.!!! It sure would be nice if I felt like doing laundry or cleaning at this hour :)

  1. Oh, I don't like seeing that on that box either!

Glad yall had a good first experience at the movies. We took Jackson to see Toy Story 3 and he did really well and loved it.
