My First Thanksgiving

This was my first Thanksgiving...
I wasn't quite big enough to sit with these kids just yet...
but I did manage to score some yummy apples and bananas from Mommy at the adult table!

I made sure one of my favorite cousins was having a good time...
and probably one of the biggest things I did today, was make my family so happy...
when I decided it was time I start taking steps!  Yay me!!!
And yes, for the record, my mommy did have tears in her eyes when i did it, because I took those little 2.5 steps right into her arms :)

Pre Thanksgiving Fun

Kenadie had her first little school program, and boy were they cute!
Temple Baptist Church 3 and 4 year olds
Mrs. Melanie's pilgrims
Berkley being entertained by Papa :)
Group shot!  Papaw had exited the scene, but he was there!
Notice Kenadie is holding Annie :)  More on her later :)

These next few pictures were from Kenadie's Thanksgiving feast at school.  They had an authentic and kid friendly feast including: chicken nuggets, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, cornbread and cupcakes and turkey cookies of course :)
We made turkey cookies to share with her friends.
My little Indian's place mat said she was thankful for "Mommy and Daddy, Berkley, Papa and Kay Kay, Papaw and D, bananas, and Molly and Lily"
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

A Jumpy Celebration

About 3 months before Kenadie's birthday, I was really trying to conclude what type of party she was going to have.  I was exploring my options of a "home" party and nothing was getting me excited.  I wasn't quite ready to can a home party, however, the drive to our house isn't the most convenient for friends to come to, so I was slightly open to a "location" party.  I wasn't exactly looking forward to a jumping party, but when I asked Kenadie if she liked going to friend's parties that were at the jumping places, she quickly responded with "Oh Mommy, I LOVE those parties and that is what kind of party I am going to have!  I'm so excited!!!  And I want a jumping cake with a jumpy on top and a number 4!!!"  Well friends, as you can tell from that statement, a jumping party was what it was going to be, and I was happy about it now because my sweet girl was so excited at the thought!!!  And, since it IS her birthday... :)  Who cares what I may have wanted, right??? :)
How about a carriage cake to go with our carriage outfit :)  I tried to incorporate a little Fairy Tale theme into the jumpy birthday!  What can I say???  I just LOVE a theme and children in matching outfits to mark the occasion :)  Here was the invite.
Precious little friends
Berkley enjoying her first ever birthday party experience :)
Take one last look at the beautiful cake, because after unnamed individual completely massacred it, it didn't look so beautiful anymore :) or maybe :(  Actually was hard to tell it was even a cake to begin with...
Time for pizza, cake and ice cream!!!
And how about just a little more jumping!
This concludes Kenadie-ebration!!!  Hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as we did!!!  It was a lot of fun!

Before you have your real birthday party...

you've got to have your first ever, school party!!!
I won't go into how "unnamed bakery" did not have my order ready, nor could they find it for that matter, when I got there with no time to spare!  That's alright though, all that matters is that I left "unnamed bakery" with Little Mermaid cupcakes that I had ordered the week prior, and only behind schedule by 4 minutes, whew!  Side note: Ever since Berkley entered this world, I find myself either announcing to the family around me or quietly whispering to myself things like "2 minutes behind schedule" or "5 minutes ahead of schedule."  Not something I did before :)
School friends!
The SWEETEST teacher in the world, Mrs.Melanie!
Little sister couldn't miss out on the fun :)
Practicing their memory verse.  "When women and children who have no parents are in trouble, take care of them.  And keep yourselves from being polluted by the world."  James 1:27  Sweet sounds of children quoting scripture :)

9 Months

Whew... am I ready for things to slow down around here!  But, from what I hear, this is only the beginning...  Oh my!!!  Since my last post we have: celebrated Kenadie's 4th birthday, unexpectedly and very quickly said goodbye to our beloved Yorkie, Lily, made a trip to North Carolina to see Wes, Joy and family, sold and moved out of our house, welcomed Annie our new furry four-legged friend to the family, and I'm pretty sure that may be it...  So, that's where I've been and I really want to get some things documented that need to make it into this years' blog book that I will print out in January.  With that being said, we will pick up with Berkley's 9 month post :) before she quickly turns 10 months!

18.4 lbs., cruising around furniture, VERY interested in Kay Kay's stairs, taking 4 bottles a day, loves her little rabbit blankie, selectively understanding "no no", says da da, clapping, eating some table foods, in a stage 3 diaper and wearing 9 month clothes, takes 2 naps and a little early evening power nap, goes to bed around 7:30, doesn't "army" crawl anymore and is THE BEST TRAVELER EVER!

You are so much fun, and I would say were happy all the time if it weren't for the eczema we encountered at 7 months :(

Happy 9 months, sweet girl!  I can't believe I will soon be posting about you being 10 months!!!
