We made it "To The Top"...of the scoreboard!

Although we haven't discussed it, I'm pretty sure THIS had to be on {and near the top} of Aaron's bucket list :) I mean...what more could a "die hard" Southern Miss fan want??
So, that was fun, definitely a moment to remember {insert winking emoticon because that's my fav}! I need my emoticons on blogger...kinda feeling lost without them... Anywho, back to the people in above pic...we know them...they're actually us :)  I had a heads-up about the matter, so it was definitely worthy of lugging in my gi-nor-mous camera and massive lens that the ticket guy didn't want to let me through the gate with!!! I know...I look very dangerous, right??? He thought for a bit and then he looked around for help to no avail, and then I was like "Okay, look mister, my family is going to be on the big screen, you know that BIG electronic board in the North End Zone, and I pretty much document EVERYTHING so I need for you to let me in with my GOOD camera for this special occasion!" And that did it for him! I got in WITH my bff camera, got my pic of us on the big screen, and we all lived happily ever after :)

Except that's not the end of this post...

Here's the part where I unload various game pics from the past three games with random captions because every time I take a pic, I'm usually captioning it in my head :)  And let me just tell ya a quick, hilarious, captioning story! Kenadie and I were waiting for my dentist appointment a couple months back and I was trying to think of something we could do to help pass the time.  The child LOVES horses, is OBSESSED with them, and from time to time, we just go through looking at horse pics.  Well, I pulled up some horse pictures on my phone and the next thing I know, she is captioning every one and I am uncontrollably laughing at how hilarious her captions are! It was seriously one of the funniest moments she and I have ever had together :) I'm sure everyone in the waiting room thought I must have been the baby-sitter...surely this isn't a grown woman who can't get it together and stop laughing!!! But really though, so funny! We tried it with dolphins but they're just not NEAR as funny to caption.  You should let your six year old try it sometime, but maybe at home in case you can't quit laughing :)

Here's the scoreboard picture in it's entirety :)
It's fun to be her... just speculating :)
and it's sweet to be her :)
They're hot, they're sweaty, but they enjoyed the concession stand! Because let's face it, that's really the only reason they come! Rationing the trips to the concession stand is my full-time game job! Papa and Kay Kay go to the games with us, and when they're around...there's really no such thing as rationing snacks :) They're just not concerned about that, ha!
That "foo foo", he doesn't miss a game ;)
See, like I said, she really gets into the game, ha!
Kenadie, leaving the game last night: "Daddy, did the Eagles win?" Typical... :) Her frozen lemonade had her a little sidetracked, or else I'm sure she would have been paying attention to the game! Nah...probably not!
Our Bulldog cousins make for cute little Eagles :)
Happy Sunday! Have a great week everybody!

My Littlest Student

(Berkley's 1st day of Pre-K 3)

Okay, so I recognize the fact that I didn't blog consistently for about 2 years. Shame on me, sorry Kenadie and Berkley! I am going to do my best to piece some of those years together without boring you to death being too long-winded :) For starters and probably the question I am most frequently asked "Why are you homeschooling?" It was something I had considered from whence I first laid eyes on Kenadie :) (I love it when I can use the word "whence" :)) Before I ever had children, I would literally cry real tears on the first day of school for all of the moms out there sending their little precious pies off to school. Call me crazy, "Sentimental Suzie", "Loony Lindsey", that one may be more fitting :)...it just put a huge lump in my throat thinking about it! So, the time came for my own little "precious pie" to start Kindergarten, and I just wasn't ready to part with her. Plain-and-simple, that's why I started homeschooling. I couldn't bring myself to part with her and I've never looked back :) We love it, and it's a great fit for our family! We are very happy and I never had to cry due to physically taking her to Kindergarten and dropping her off. Now, don't get me wrong, if you know me at all, then you know I still cried a river on her first day of Kindergarten because my little angel baby was too big and growing up right before my very eyes. And regardless of the fact if I physically dropped her off at school or not, she was still old enough to be starting REAL-LIVE-KINDERGARTEN, and that's a pretty big deal, y'all, in "Lindsey's World" as I sometimes like to call it :)

Now, the title of this post is "My littlest student", so we need to get on to her :) Here she is!
Berkley went to preschool last year at the most wonderful place and had the sweetest teacher on the planet! I'm sure of it :) She loved it and Kenadie and I LOVED our one-on-one school time! There was just one problem...I was running myself ragged! Well, ragged for me anyway! I can be weak at times, so my "ragged" may be different from yours :) That's okay, ragged nonetheless :) Just a whole lot-o-running!!! So, we revamped a little this year and doubled our school attendance [sounds important but it's just fancy for I went from having one student to now two :)] and kept Berkley home with us.

I'll be honest...I was a little lot bit scared going from my perfect one-to-one student/teacher ratio, to taking on a new student who can be, how can I put this, ummm...she has a mind of her own, an opinion about EVERYTHING, often times not easy going... you know the type!

Well...all I can say is, boy has she proved me wrong!!! She is the most eager learner, wants to do EVERYTHING Kenadie is doing, wants to be right there with us the whole time, and I am so thankful she is :) I'm so sorry, Berkley! I sure wasn't giving you enough credit! I won't name any names, but she has been known to be a better listener than the others  students in her class!!! Sometimes answering questions before the other unnamed student, that are on "said unnamed student's" grade level!!! Correctly!!! Gulp! She keeps me on my toes for sure :)

Now Berkley, I need for you to stop looking like a 3rd grader, okay? Thanks! :)
I prefer to see you like this, in one of your wild wardrobe choices :) Home school perk: Often times, children pick out their own clothes, get dressed, and then surprise you with their lovely combination :)
As long as you have a bow in your hair, it's all good...right?!?
She's a keeper, that's for sure! Proud of my girl! Proud of her hard work! Now, to just master the art of not crying at the drop of a hat...hmmm... Wonder what lesson number that's going to come in??? :) I'm not gonna hold my breath, that's for sure :)

They're pretty much like Fern & Wilbur

these two, that is... :) except we didn't get a pig :)
Meet Callie, the current love of Kenadie's life :)
She is a blue heeler/catacoula cur mix, and that's code for we hope she's going to be an awesome cow herder for Papa!!!

She is talked about, day-dreamed about, sang about, and "arted" about! Yes, "arted" is a word which means anytime Kenadie has a free moment, she is making some form of Callie-handcrafted original piece of art!
I mean really?!? Who doesn't love a puppy!!!
In 100 years, when Aaron and I are old and gray, if Kenadie takes half as good of care of us as she does Callie, we will be in great hands :)

This is a test, this is only a test

I have officially made it to the one year mark of neglecting my blog :( and to commemorate the occasion, I thought I would post some random nonsense and see just how often my {one} family member checked in on here :) So, one family member, you know who you are...let me know when you see this :) And since said family member is not on Instagram, I need to include some pictures here in no particular order, because what would a blog post be without any pictures! And because I have not posted on here in over a year, I am going to choose my top 5 favorite pics from the whole year I went missing :)

We started homeschooling!...and we still are :) Remember, this picture is from a year ago, so she's in 1st grade now, lol!
We spent 4 weeks of the year in Madison, WI! Aaron was there for a management internship program, and like all good homeschooling families, we joined him :)
She is sometimes too cute for her own good :) and that works in her favor when she's not on her "A game!" She has been known to tell me "I not like you very much, Mommy! You not making me happy, you making me sad!"
Because chocolate milk goes good with doughnuts! Sugar, what sugar?!?

The 4 weeks in WI were in 2, 2 week intervals. This was the second trip! Snow, snow, and more snow!  Aaron actually was there for two more weeks in Nov., but we skipped out on that trip!
No training wheels!                                            They thought this was the best idea ever!!!

Dance Recital!!! Jasmine and one of Cinderella's mice!

I am pretty sure I lost track of the number, but you may have a few bonus pics thrown in there :) Not making any promises, family member, but I will try to leave you little sporadic updates along the way :) Hopefully I can do another one within a year, ha! I did this super-fast! There are probably all types of grammar mistakes. Please excuse that...I didn't even proofread this! Eeek!!!
And one more for good measure...something ultra current :)
