Aaron invited us...

And you KNOW I'm not about to pass up a trip :)  He attended an accounting conference in July, and let's just say it was no San Francisco, but it's always fun to get away...even if it is just to New Orleans!  We did all of the typical New Orleans things, such as...

Visit the zoo, where we spotted something quite fascinating...

 Next up, the Aquarium and Insectarium.  Don't have any pictures from the Insectarium...didn't really want to remember the bugs we saw anymore than I had to :)

Good morning!!!

 A little pool time!

 We discovered how talented Berkley really was :)

This is the first time she appears in a photo, but we enjoyed having Kay Kay on our little excursion with us!  She had to return two days early to get back to school :(  This was just before taking her back to Picayune to meet my dad.  And yes, I successfully navigated myself back to our hotel ALL.BY.MYSELF...in the POURING RAIN.  I was pretty proud :)

 Fun in the children's museum!  Berkley was having fun in this next pic, however, she looks as if she's holding on for dear life :) Hahaha...

 We also love an escalator!!!  Lots of time spent here!  Why ride the elevator all the way down when you can stop on each floor with the escalator? :)

Our Summer Favorites!

We LOVE summer, and we sure lived it up!!!  We are currently back on a school routine now, but the freedom sure was fun while it lasted!  It's always nice to get back in a good routine, it was kinda welcomed :)

We got in AS MUCH SWIM TIME as we possibly could!!!

We frequented the library and read at least 100 NEW books!

Some people got put to work shelling peas!  One of my MOST FAVORITE things about summer is the FABULOUS garden Papa has and ALL of the most delicious fruits and vegetables we get to feast on!  Man, I miss it already :(

All that swimming made these two little girls some kind of tired!

This girl sleeps when she can!  It's a tough job keeping up with Mommy and big sister in the summertime!

And when she wasn't wearing her swimsuit, she was usually sporting a princess dress!

We had several unsuccessful goes at potty training...

But our biggest accomplishment was conquering swimming...like with no floaties... like jumping off the diving board and swimming to the ladder!!!

We had fun with friends!!!

And fun at art camp!

 This is pretty much the best you can do with a lemonade stand out in the country...with only your parents and grandparents as customers :)

 Some even got to see their first movie at the movie theater!  Now, anytime we see anything Monsters University, she goes cutely bananas over it!

 Daddy got adventurous on the diving board!

And sometimes people were just plum cute!

                                                

 Papa's watermelons are the best!!!  Not sure which of these two likes watermelon more!  That's music to my ears!!!  I was usually busying myself removing seeds to avoid the quantity I could have consumed! 

 Whew!  That was one FUN, but TIRING summer!!!
