Your mom knows you love her when...

Considering ALL my mom so lovingly and selflessly does for me EVERY day of the year... I thought switching shoes with her in public because hers were KILLING her sweet little feet was the very least I could do :)  I don't consider myself to be fashionable, thank you Kenadie and Berkley, but it only felt right to tell my mom that "my fashion may be in jeopardy!"  Oh, who am I kidding, that happened years before I switched shoes with my mother, it's a good thing they were black though, I may couldn't have done it :) just kidding Mom, I would do it in a heartbeat all over again!  I could never repay you for all you have done for me :)  And, just in case you're wondering... my feet are the ones that belong to the sadly colorless legs!  Again, thank you Berkley :)  Somehow after she was born, the color was just sucked right out of me!

I was going to do a post titled "Never say never!" but time just kept getting away from me.  It was going to go a little something like this...

Never say you won't sell your house that you are comfortable in, and move in to your parents rental, causing you to have to swallow your pride a tad, when in all actuality, it just MAKES PERFECT SENSE!  Or at least for our family anyway :)  After 9 years of marriage, Aaron is FINALLY getting somewhere with me :)  It really IS fun to save, save, save, :)!!!

Never say your husband won't delete all precious pictures off your computer, out of your picture software, because even though he is might near perfect, things just happen sometimes...  I love you Aaron, and I love that I am done going through the 12,000 images we were able to retrieve!  Thank you computer man and external hard drive!  Now I'm just to the part of refiling them all :)  Did I mention there were 12,000??? :)

Never say you won't drive a car that's more than four years old!!!  Yea, I said that too, ha!  Refer to my second "never" and see where Aaron, my intelligent husband with an accounting degree and masters in business, has apparently rubbed off on me, ouch!

And finally, NEVER say you won't use cloth diapers, because if your precious angel baby has a horribly itchy, rash-y bottom for eight months straight, trust me, YOU WILL!!!  And these diapers have been what saved her little bottom!  Thank you bumGenius!!!

I'm sure there will be many more "nevers" that I will go back on and view differently.  It's quite humorous to see how immature I was at one time!!!  Aaron probably doesn't think it's as funny as I do, he's just glad I have gotten to where I am today :)  I guess you start to realize these things when you're days from turning 30!!!  Eeeeeekkkkkk!!!!!!!!

It's Show Time!

Whew!  It has been pretty busy around here lately!  Last week was jam packed with Kenadie's last day of 3K, end of the year program at her school, dance recital, which included two additional practices, then followed by Mother's Day!  It was great fun, and I made sure to "take it all in", but a little glad that we have had nowhere to be today! Or, for the rest of the week for that matter :)  Our laundry basket got a little over looked, so today it's getting some MUCH needed attention!

Kenadie had the MOST fun at her dance recital!  It was such a great show, and all of the little dancers did such a wonderful job!  The theme of the show was Toy Shop, and it didn't disappoint!  Kenadie had two dances: her tap that they were "All Dressed Up" and in their ballet they were jack-in-the-boxes.  Too cute for words, I tell ya!
Kay Kay, I DO NOT know what we would do without you!!!  She was practically my personal assistant throughout  ALL last week!  Aaron, do ya think we could just add Kay Kay in to our budget and keep her on all year long?  Oh, what am I saying, I practically have her at my beckon call year round!  Let's just say I have it made :)  Now, if she just didn't have to go to work everyday :)
For their ballet, they jumped out of these boxes on little trampolines, like a jack-in-the-box.  I think this was her favorite part of the whole recital :)  Now, let's go over a little dance recital etiquette!!!  We are allowed to take pictures during the rehearsal, but not during the recital.  So, all of these pics were mostly from the dress rehearsal the night before.  If you find yourself at a dance dress rehearsal, and you are sitting by the parents of a dancer who is taking her tiny quick turn of jumping out of the jack-in-the-box, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you get up and leave, having to cross in front of her camera or her husband's cam corder with your whole family!!!!! RUDE!!!  I'm sure they didn't know it was my child's turn, but geez people, if a lady is snapping pics like a mad woman to catch her child's every move, take notice please!!!  Yes, I was just a tad mad!!!  And no, I wasn't happy with the ONE picture I got of her jumping out of the box, ugh!!!  This was all I got :(  There! I feel better now :)
Here are where the pics start that were from the actual recital day, and here I am feeling like what I imagine a pageant mom to feel like!  It's fun to do all of this once a year, just don't think I have much more than that in me :)

Berkley fulfilling her little sister role and attending Kenadie's recital :)  This makes her second one.
Way to go, Kenadie!!!  We are so proud of you :)  You were way too fun to watch!
