Shop Till You Drop

Well, it's that time of year again. Who knows what big shopping event happens twice a year, always on the 2nd Thursday in May and the 2nd Thursday in October? That's right, the Canton Flea Market. My day began dark and early yesterday a.m. when the alarm clock went off at 4:15. I allowed myself one hour to get ready, and decided I could finish my make-up in the car. Note to self, if you're going to finish your make-up in the car, make sure you have enough eye liner to complete both eyes :) I always keep a back-up eye liner on hand, however; I am not usually applying make-up in the car...

Me, mom and two of our very dear friends were pulling out of Hattiesburg around 5:30 a.m. My mom and her friends have been going to Canton for about 25+ years now. My whole life, I always wanted to go with them. So thankful Mom didn't see fit to take me until I was 18--haha. I guess that's when she finally thought I could handle ALL of the walking and endure the grueling, but fun, shopping experience :) If you have never been, it's definitely something you should go to at least once in your life, ladies, that is. Men, trust me, you don't want to go and would not have a good time, unless you would be happy walking ALL DAY LONG, only for the highlight of your day to be chicken on a stick :)

We returned to Hattiesburg with all of our goods around 4:00. I rushed home to freshen up a bit to then go to the EDA Awards Banquet with Aaron in Laurel. We had a nice time, enjoyed a delicious meal and a fun evening out.


Looks like Kenadie shopped till she dropped too :)
