So, what does one do to celebrate turning 30? Well... for starters he enjoyed the day off from work. But before you get a visual of Aaron relaxing with his feet propped up, umm... yea, that wasn't happening! He spent the day just like he wanted :) He insisted he was taking Kenadie to school, which means they first had to enjoy a doughnut breakfast at Shipley's, his favorite :) Then, I had COMPLETELY described how to drop her off at school. When I checked in to see how it went, he told me that she insisted he walk her in :) And so, he did :) Next up was 3 hours of marking things off his to do list while waiting on Kenadie to get out of school. These "to-do" list things weren't at home, but more like in the form of errands... i.e. get extra keys made, take things to the storage building, get an inspection sticker... When it was time to get Kenadie, he had packed them a "picnic" lunch to eat at church before heading to dance. YES, he IS Mr. Mom, because he CAN dress his little ballerina from head to toe in her dance attire, tights included :) Side note- Aaron takes his lunch everyday to work, and on rare occasions when he goes out to eat for lunch or for whatever reason his lunch went uneaten, Kenadie always wants his leftover lunch for dinner :) So, he thought she would enjoy eating "his" lunch for lunch :) It's no different than what she might eat for lunch, but I guess something about it being "Daddy's lunch in his lunchbox" makes it special :) After lunch, he took his little ballerina to dance, waits for it to be over, picks her up and brings her home for her nap, to which I flee the scene upon his arrival to head to my parents to work on his birthday dinner :) My mom asked me if this was Aaron's birthday, or mine. I just smiled :)
The menu: Chicken and sausage Alfredo, green beans, corn, rolls, and a delicious salad I call "Christy's Crunchy Salad."

The guests :)... I think these guys could let this be their Christmas card it's such a great photo :) It's just missing me, and Berkley looks a bit thrown away. Please try to visualize her without wearing the tacky bib and know that she is dressed cute under it :) As for her missing sock and shoe... I'm sure I could edit that back in... :) Ok, so maybe it's not the best picture as far as small details, but everyone is smiling, and that in itself makes for a great picture!
She loves a birthday :)
And she's getting ready for hers this Saturday...
Cookie cake--his request!
Presents were involved...
Some people pretended to be a present...
And some people were just taking it all in :)
Happy Birthday, Aaron!!! Hope you enjoyed you birthday!!! I sure did :)
