Been a while...nah, ya think???

Oh me!  It has been 6 months since I last posted something on here!  We've done a lot since Berkley turned two, ha!!!  I'm going to try to start posting on here from time to time.  I won't call any names, but there is a member of my family who misses me posting... Not that it's going to be that exciting, but why not, right?  I've mostly been "blogging" via Instagram, but thought I would just post some happenings here for the few who may have missed me, ha :)  So now, without further adieu, I present to you, Kenadie's dance recital :)  It happened in May, so please forgive me, but I thought I would try to breeze through and hit the high points until I was back current!

I took Berkley to her 2 year check-up this morning.  She was such a big girl!!!

I told her that if she was a sweet girl, we would go get ice cream afterwards!  Every time she needed a little reminder of what her reward was, she would rub her tummy and say "mmm... ummy!!!"

My little growing girl:

Height- 34 1/4" (60th %)

Weight- 26.5 lbs. (50th%)

Head circumference (50th%)

She's becoming quite the little outgoing character.  However, when the doctor came in the room, and up until he examined her, she was hiding behind me on the little bench.  It was funny and quite cute, because I've never seen her do such a thing :)

Within the last month, her vocabulary has taken off!  She went from being a lady of very little words, to having quite an opinion about things :)  She will pretty much attempt to say anything you ask her to.  But, one of my favorite things she is saying/doing these days is anytime we go to my parents house, while sitting in their drive-way before getting out of the car, she will cup her hands to her little face and say "Papa, where are you?"  Another cute thing she did recently, Mom and I were comparing my 5 year old portrait to Kenadie's, and Berkley said "where me?" while putting her hands on her chest, I might add :)  I'm afraid I have another big talker in the making, on my hands :)  If she does anything good, she pretty much always thinks she needs a high-5!  

And here's a little comparison of my two, at two years old.  I'm getting more and more comments that Berkley is beginning to favor Kenadie.

What a fun little party we had yesterday for our little "penguin," :)  No, we've never referred to her as that, it just sounded cute as I was typing and matched the theme of her party :)  Be prepared for picture overload!!!  If I told you how many are in this post, you may stop reading right here :)

And she was just a little obsessed with it!

Tiredness is beginning to set in...but she was a trooper and hung in there :)

Then, we decided we would come in and have some cake and ice cream!!!

And then, we all came home and crashed, and everyone lived happily ever after!!!

I would say Berkley had a great 2nd birthday party!!!  Stay tuned, tomorrow is her actual birthday, so you know there is bound to be a flashback post from her arrival!
