What she says...

Aaron: "Kenadie, can you keep an eye on Berkley while I take Annie out?"
Kenadie: "Okay Daddy, but I'll also keep an eye on my show to make sure I don't miss anything."

"Mommy, the next time you want to wear the red bow with the white polka dots, I will let you."

Kenadie: "I love you, Mommy!"
Lindsey: "I love you more!"
Kenadie: "We love each other the  most!"

*Lindsey fixing Berkley's bottle*
"Mommy, I have a deal!  I will put my plate in the garbage, and you can put my cup on the counter.  Come on, and when we finish my deal, you can go back!"

*Kenadie coughs a BIG cough*
Lindsey: "My gooooodness!!!"
Kenadie: "It was just me, Mom,... your daughter."

Kenadie: "Mommy, can we not roll my hair today?"
Lindsey: "Well, we really need to because it helps it to not look all crazy from how you slept on it."
Kenadie: "Okay, tonight I'll remember to not sleep on my hair."

It must have been a good nap!

This was after about a 4 hour Sunday afternoon nap!  From the looks of her hair, I'd say it must have been a good one :)

How do you make a napkin dance?

You put a little boogie in it!
Okay, okay, sorry for the corny joke, but what better of a lead in???  Yes, I am talking about a newly tried product and now staple in our home, at least during the winter months anyway.  What is this fabulous discovery you ask...
I heard of this product a few years ago, but thought surely they would not work, like not even a little.  Why waste my money on another product that just your basic baby wipe could do???  Or so I thought!!! WRONG!!!  Baby wipes and my new found friend Boogie Wipes are NOT created equal.  Let me repeat, baby wipes do NOTHING for a severely crusted over nose that requires some serious two people action attempting to clean it, while leaving you with a HORRIBLY ill 11 month old, sorry to bash you, Berkley, but it's true!  If you don't own some of these, go now and get yourself some!  I will never be without!

I purchased the lovely purple packaged grape scented ones.  However, if you're not one for purple, these little jewels also come in a lovely snot lime green color!  They just reminded me too much of the substance that comes out of your nose, so I went with the ever so cute purple ones :)

FYI, Boogie Wipes is not paying me for this brilliant advertisement!  I'm just this passionate about the product and wished I had only picked them up sooner, despite their snot lime green packaging :)

A Look Back at 2011

2011 was kicked off to a GREAT start as we welcomed sweet Berkley into our family!
Only 3 weeks following the birth of Berkley, it was time to say goodbye to our beloved family pet, Molly.
We did lots of fun things like...
visit the Audubon Zoo,
celebrated a first Easter,
danced in our first recital,
learned how to roll over,
got our ears pierced,
played lots of pretend,
visited the Children's Museum for Mommy's birthday,
learned how to swim,
took a trip to the beach,
took a trip to Atlanta,
got our first "real" haircut,
had fun playing outside,
took dance lessons again,
started preschool,
tagged along with Daddy on a business trip,
cheered on our Eagles to a 12-2 season,
took a trip to Gatlinburg,
had more fun playing outside,
totally unexpectedly and ever so sadly said goodbye to our sweet, sweet Lily,
celebrated Kenadie turning 4,
celebrated Halloween,
visited Wes and Joy in North Carolina,
sold our house, no picture to document,
welcomed Annie, the toy poodle,
took good naps at Kay Kay's house,
celebrated Thanksgiving,
learned to walk,
and lastly and most importantly, we celebrated the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
As you can see, if you're still with me, we had a WONDERFUL year FULL of MANY BLESSINGS!  Thankful for EVERY one of them!  Happy New Year!!!

Sweet Girl at 11 Months

I CANNOT believe in one month we will be celebrating your first birthday!!!  That just feels so strange to say/type/think...  How can it be?
Not too much seems to have changed since your 10th month.  You now have 4 teeth and rarely ever do I see you crawl.  You love to walk to me, hold your arms up for me to pick you up, and just as soon as you're in my arms, you're ready to get back down and do it again :)

You LOVE your little rabbit that Daddy has named "Foo Foo." :)  When you're really sleepy, rabbit's ear is squeezed tightly and rubbed in your little eyes :)  When you wake from a nap or in the morning, you are always standing up in your crib holding tightly to "Foo Foo's" ear with your paci in your mouth, gripping the rail of your crib.  I need to get a pic of this :)
You are such a sweet baby and at this point, seem to be easy going...  We shall see...  One thing you do funny, I will try to explain, often times when I have to say "no no" to you, I usually end up having to walk over to you to remove an object from you or remove you from something you are getting in to.  If I am walking to you to remove an object, you usually start walking away from me while dropping the item I'm after and never look back.  It's as if you think I won't notice it was you who had the "no no" item in the first place :)  If you are well rested, you take "no no" quite well.  If you are sleepy, tears are sure to follow the "no no."  My, how early disciplining has to start :(

A Fun FILLED Day!

Disney on Ice--If it comes near you--Go!  You won't be disappointed :)
Or at least we weren't!  But, we're kinda in love with Disney, so maybe we're a little partial :)
And, as much as I love Disney, Kenadie feels about the same towards popcorn!  The entire car ride to Biloxi, all we heard was "Can I get some popcorn when we get there?" or "I sure am hungry!  Some popcorn will do the trick!"  We enter the coliseum, find our seats, and then the popcorn fanatic spots the lovely 3 feet tall bag of cotton candy, complete with your very own Mickey crown!  They didn't make the popcorn look quite so snazzy!
If this next picture doesn't make you want to learn how to ice skate and become a Disney character, then I don't know what would! :)
Waving bye to all of the characters!  And they were pretty much ALL there!
As if this wasn't enough fun for one day, we go about an hour further to see the beautiful lights at Bellingrath Gardens.
When did she get so  big :(
This must have been right before Berkley fell asleep :)  She pretty much enjoyed the sight of the back of her eyelids :) which wasn't actually such a bad thing, seeings how we somehow didn't get home until midnight... on a Saturday night... when we have to be out the door around 8:15 for church the next morning!  Fun times with the family though :)  Who cares about bedtimes at Christmas, right?:/?:)
I vote for the gingerbread girl wearing the black coat :)
The gingerbread picture was my idea, and this one would be Kenadie's :)
This little girl can do some serious "rainbow" coloring!  Every thing she colors is EVERY color of the rainbow, and more!  It's only fitting the following lights were her favorite!
Love my family, and love our time together!
*If you find yourself venturing to see the lights at Bellingrath Gardens, 1) Be prepared for a long, slow moving line just to park to get out and 2) Buy your tickets online, to avoid another long line :)  When we got there and I saw the line to get in, and then Aaron tells me he bought our tickets online, I took the time to tell our girls about what a genius their daddy is :)
